Warriors captain Knowledge Musona says he finds it strange to see Zifa failing to pay the players on time which always leads to unnecessary inconveniences.<\/p>\n
The skipper was speaking on Friday night following a stand-off with the association which at one point cast doubts on the team\u2019s participation in the final Group A game against DRC on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The Warriors threatened not to fulfil their group stage campaign if Zifa doesn\u2019t pay them their outstanding dues.<\/p>\n
This was the second time for the players to make such threats with the first incident happening ahead of the Afcon opener against Egypt last week.<\/p>\n
\u201cI sometimes find it very strange why we always have to come to this point before every game,\u201d Musona told reporters at the team\u2019s training.<\/p>\n
\u201cI believe our association should have been prepared for this tournament longtime ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cSometimes as players we don\u2019t understand what is happening, we end up fighting in the last moment and it distracts us.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have to focus on the game but at the same time we are required to talk with them (Zifa), doing two things at once. For some players, they can\u2019t shift their focus from those issues.\u201d<\/p>\n
