The National Aids Council (NAC) has appointed a new acting chief executive officer (CEO) for the second time inside a year.<\/p>\n
In a post on its official Facebook page yesterday, NAC said the Health and Child Care ministry had appointed the body\u2019s finance and administration director, Albert Manenji, as its acting CEO with immediate effect, pending appointment of a substantive chief executive.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, NAC operations director Raymond Yekeye, who was acting boss, reverts back to his position after a six months acting tenure.<\/p>\n
NAC has been head-hunting for a substantive boss since the exit of Tapuwa Magure and the dissolution of the entire board of directors on a slew of allegations,
\nincluding financial impropriety.<\/p>\n
Commenting on the recent development, Community Working Group on Health executive director\u2019s Itai Rusike said: \u201cWhy is it taking forever to reconstitute the
\nNAC board and appoint a substantive CEO?\u201d<\/p>\n
