LEGENDARY Chimurenga artist Thomas Mapfumo last Saturday headlined a star studded line-up of music luminaries with a mouthwatering performance at the annual ZimFest Live in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n
Mukanya, as Mapfumo, is affectionately known in the music orbits, was backed by his celebrated band, The Blacks Unlimited.<\/p>\n
With musical experience emanating from a career spanning over four decades, Mapfumo gave a vibrant performance of his hit tracks cheered by the crowd.<\/p>\n
He graced the stage alongside multi-award winning ZimDancehall chanter, Winky D, Gemma Griffiths, Crooger, Ex Q, DJ Tamuka and Enzo Ishall who gave explosive performances.<\/p>\n
South Africa\u2019s renowned turn-tablist, DJ Zinhle,Tsungai Tsikira, Busi Mhlanga, Welly T, Teriro were among several other Zimbabwean talents who brought their A game.<\/p>\n
In a statement, ZimFest Live, the organisers of the concert, expressed their gratitude to artists for bringing the event to life.<\/p>\n

The popular music festival, which started in 2001, was this year held at Colesdale Farm in Northaw village a few kilometres outside London.<\/p>\n
