{"id":12703,"date":"2019-08-22T16:34:38","date_gmt":"2019-08-22T16:34:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/zimbabwe\/?p=12703"},"modified":"2019-08-22T16:34:38","modified_gmt":"2019-08-22T16:34:38","slug":"mushowani-in-serious-financial-crisis-club-on-the-verge-of-collapse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.cc\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/mushowani-in-serious-financial-crisis-club-on-the-verge-of-collapse","title":{"rendered":"Mushowani in serious financial crisis, club on the verge of collapse"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Premiership debutants Mushowani Stars are facing a serious financial crisis which has seen the players going for four months without receiving their salaries.<\/p>\n<p>The Mashonaland West-based side has been operating on a small budget since the beginning of the season, and it\u2019s on the verge of collapsing.<\/p>\n<p>Club owner Lovemore Nyakasoka has now made a distress call for a bailout package to save the team from folding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWinning Premiership promotion was one step towards our goal,\u201d said Nyakasoka, according to The Chronicle. \u201cWe thought we would see even much better things coming on the way, but it has taken a financial toll on us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can tell you that, for four months, the players haven\u2019t received their salaries or bonuses. It is so stressful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are on the verge of collapsing. We would have wanted to keep Bindura on the football map but, as it stands, we might not be able to finish the season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mushowani recently got relief after moving to Bindura following the PSL\u2019s approval to use Trojan Stadium.
