FORMER President Robert Mugabe\u2019s soul \u201cmust burn in hell\u201d, the fringe and ultra-ethnic political opposition Mthwakazi Liberation Front (MLF) has said.<\/p>\n
In a scathing statement, the secessionist party said it would be a historical injustice to praise Mugabe in death.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe thank God Almighty for sending His Hideous, the butcher of Mthwakazi to Hell, may his soul forever burn in Hell till the end of life on earth! It is historically incorrect to praise a tormentor simply because he is no more.<\/p>\n
\u201cMay his soul be tortured by the eternal fires of Hades and Damnation! In the liberated Mthwakazi state, a chained Mugabe statue will be put in an enclosure in front of the state High Court,\u201d the statement read in part.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also pray to our Only and Holy God to speedily take Emerson Mnangagwa to hell as well, these two are a very good pair and together they killed more people than imaginable.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mugabe in the early 1980s unleashed a North Korean trained crack military unit known as Fifth Brigade that led to an orgy of violence against unarmed civilians under the guise of hunting down a handful of dissidents killing more than 20 000 people mainly women and children.<\/p>\n
MLF added: \u201cHundreds and thousands of our people died in their hands, tens of thousands of our women were raped, yet more thousands of our people were maimed and tortured. He never apologised and so he dies a condemned devil.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mugabe remained unrepentant until death refusing to apologise. The only time he came close to acknowledging the genocide was at late Vice President Joshua Nkomo\u2019s burial in 1999 when he described what has become known as Gukurahundi as \u201ca moment of madness.\u201d<\/p>\n
The opposition party said it was hoping stricken Vice President Constantino Chiwenga also dies.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo us a lion is a lion dead or alive, we also hope Chiwenga does not make it back to this country. That would be a bonus to the people of Mthwakazi.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe pray daily that God takes Mnangagwa very soon. We believe OUR GOD will answer our prayers,\u201d said MLF.<\/p>\n
Chiwenga is currently admitted in a Chinese hospital after his health suddenly deteriorated last year, months after leading the military revolt that toppled Mugabe in late 2017.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
