{"id":13803,"date":"2019-09-19T19:02:30","date_gmt":"2019-09-19T17:02:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/zimbabwe\/?p=13803"},"modified":"2019-09-19T19:02:30","modified_gmt":"2019-09-19T17:02:30","slug":"high-court-sanctions-doctors-march-over-missing-magombeyi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.cc\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/high-court-sanctions-doctors-march-over-missing-magombeyi","title":{"rendered":"High Court Sanctions Doctors March Over Missing Magombeyi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>High Court Judge, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/newsdayzim\/posts\/high-court-judge-justice-clement-phiri-has-ruled-as-illegal-for-traffic-police-o\/1386778627999497\/\">Justice Clement Phiri<\/a>, has granted an order allowing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/zhda.co.zw\/\">Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association<\/a> (ZHDA) to peacefully march this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The order stated that the doctors could march from Parirenyatwa Hospital to within a radius of 20 metres from the vicinity of Parliament this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>ZHDA had approached the High Court this morning seeking a court order prohibiting the police from obstructing or interfering with the march.<\/p>\n<p>Officer Commanding Police Harare Central District, Commissioner-General of Police Godwin Matanga and Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Cain Mathema were cited as respondents.<\/p>\n<p>The order comes when the police have been blocking doctors\u2019 marches around the country.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors intend to march over their missing acting president, Dr Peter Magombeyi who disappeared on Saturday 14 September.<\/p>\n<p>His disappearance followed some threats over the phone from unknown persons.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>High Court Judge, Justice Clement Phiri, has granted an order allowing Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association (ZHDA) to peacefully march this afternoon.
