Popular local musician, Mukudzei Mukombe popularly known as Jah Prayzah reportedly turned down a ZWL $50 000 offer to perform at last week\u2019s anti-sanctions gala.<\/p>\n
The Anchor reports sources at the Ministry of Information said that Jah Praisah cited an incident when he was attacked at Glen Forest cemetery over alleged political ties. The unidentified source said:<\/p>\n
He (Jah Prayzah) was offered ZWL$50 000 to perform but he turned it down. The organisers then begged him to name the amount he wanted, but he said he did not feel comfortable performing at the gala citing an incident when he was attacked at Glen Forest cemetery.<\/p>\n
The \u201cKutonga Kwaro\u201d hitmaker\u2019s brand suffered bad publicity particularly for Kutonga Kwaro and Masoja, both released in 2017.<\/p>\n
Some analysts argued that the songs were sung in support of President Emmerson Mnangagwa who at that time was warring with the G40 which was allegedly being led by former first lady, Grace Mugabe.<\/p>\n
