SOUTH AFRICA-BASED hip hop artiste and sound engineer Mlue Jay is back with more videos from his EP \u2014 They Need Me \u2014 which he said had catapulted his music career to greater heights.<\/p>\n
The EP was officially launched in Braamfoentein in July this year at a classy event attended by South African rappers including More Days, 2LA and Everything Ghost.<\/p>\n
Mlue Jay, who is signed to YeaWeLit Entertainment stable, said the videos from the new EP \u2014 which carries songs They Need Me, Uyakhumbula, My Way, Shisa Shisa and Girls \u2014 were trending on South African airwaves.<\/p>\n
The artiste told NewsDay Life & Style recently that his latest video for Uyakhumbula is a testimony to the power of videos to his music.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe video has fast become a big game changer. As a result, I had been interviewed by some of the biggest radio stations here in SA the likes of TransAfrica and my music is now on their playlists,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Mlue Jay admitted that it was not easy to ply one\u2019s trade away from home but he took a risk and it was paying dividends.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhile it\u2019s not always comfortable to be away from home, I have managed a lot in the industry which I am sure in my coming home soon I will exchange important notes with my colleagues to up our game according to new trends,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn 2020, I will be travelling across Africa doing shows and I will start in Zimbabwe, my fans need more of videos to accompany my music so am doing my best to ensure that I invest in quality video to ensure that my fans are satisfied.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
