ZANU PF stalwarts are reportedly competing with each other to contribute to the \u201cWelcome party\u201d for Vice President Constantino Chiwenga<\/a>, a development viewed by some as a way to buy favours.<\/p>\n

Chiwenga returned last week after four months in the People\u2019s Republic of China where he was receiving medical attention for suspected poisoning.<\/p>\n

There were reports suggesting that some prominent people in the party were shifting allegiance when they heard that Chiwenga\u2019s health had further deteriorated.<\/p>\n

Zim Morning Post reports that the party is scheduled for this Saturday in Wedza which is Chiwenga<\/a>\u2019s rural home. Speaking to the publication, unnamed sources said that the party is a platform for Chiwenga\u2019s loyalists to prove themselves that they were indeed on his side.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
