Zanu-PF Mashonaland West provincial chairman\u00a0Ziyambi Ziyambi<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has warned members of the\u00a0G40 faction<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0that they face expulsion for destabilising the party.<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0The Herald,<\/em>\u00a0Ziyambi asserted that the ruling party will not risk its destruction for the sake of keeping its support base. He said:<\/p>\n

\n

Going forward we will detail everything that these people are doing and recommend that they are expelled.<\/p>\n

While our desire is to ensure that we maintain our support base and recruit more, we can\u2019t allow forces that will destroy the party to persist.<\/p>\n

The G40 or Generation 40 is a group of Zanu-PF politicians that was believed to be working against the possibility of Emmerson Mnangagwa\u00a0(Lacoste Faction)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0succeeding the late former president Robert Mugabe as president of Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n

Before Mugabe\u2019s demise, the group was thought to favour Mugabe\u2019s wife, Grace, taking over from her husband as president.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
