Zimbabwean journalist, Zenzele Ndebele has said that Zimbabwe will not experience a better year as projected by the government for as long as the leadership in the country remains the same.<\/p>\n

Posting on Twitter on the 1st of January when the nation is celebrating the New Year, Zenzele said:<\/p>\n

As long we have the same leadership no economy will turn around.<\/p>\n

His remarks come after the Herald has reported that a cocktail of government initiatives which are reportedly being implemented will work towards the transformation of the economy.<\/p>\n

Zenzele\u2019s remarks are consistent with those of many other analysts who have observed that the current administration lacks the enthusiasm to address issues affecting the country.<\/p>\n

President Mnangagwa conceded a few months ago that while Zimbabwe has resources which can make it sustainable, systemic corruption which is deeply rooted in government institutions was choking any development initiative.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
