Zimbabwe has been listed amongst countries with the highest inflation in 2019. According to the International Monetary Fund<\/a> (IMF), Zimbabwe was only second to Venezuela.<\/p>\n

This comes when Zimbabwe\u2019s Finance Minister,\u00a0Professor Mthuli Ncube, has projected that inflation will be managed until it reaches its lowest levels in both 2019 and 2020.<\/a><\/p>\n

In his\u00a0Pre-Budget Strategy Paper (BSP)<\/a>, Ncube projected that the month on month inflation that was said to be around 37 percent in June would drop to 10 percent in 2019 before further falling to around 2 percent at the end of 2020.<\/p>\n

Below is the list compiled by IMF.<\/p>\n

Ncube\u2019s projections, as indicated in the 2020 Budget, are dependent upon the rains which the budget says will positively impact the Agriculture sector which in turn will have a trickle-down effect on other sectors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
