MDC youths have vowed not to participate in any future demonstrations unless they have been paid their stipend in advance.<\/p>\n

Rungano Dzikira cited by the Zimbabwe Mail reports that the youths were promised US$300 for the recent unannounced demos but were shocked to receive only RTGS$300. They said:<\/p>\n

Our youth leader from Budiriro told us that Wiwa (as Job Sikhala is affectionately known among the youths\u2019 circles) had assured that we would be paid US$300 soon after the demos.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    They reportedly tried to visit Sikhala at his offices but were blocked by the security with reports that they would not be paid the said money as they had failed to mobilise promised large numbers.<\/p>\n

    Zimbabweans are slowly becoming less interested in political processes and the economic and humanitarian crisis is ding less to help as it demotivates them from revolting against authorities they view costs associated revolting as outweighing the immediate benefit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
