The COVID-19 fight in Matabeleland North has received a major boost after Safari, Tour and Conservancy operators donated an array of materials to be used in tackling the pandemic in the province.<\/p>\n
Despite being one of the hardest-hit sectors by the pandemic, the hospitality and tourism sector has managed to give a hand in the COVID-19 fight in Matabeleland North province.<\/p>\n
Painted Dog Conservancy in Hwange handed over personal protective equipment items which include gloves, masks, aprons, sanitisers, thermometers and theatre caps and over-shoes.
\n\u201c\u2026we also want to fight this pandemic and in our own way we thought this would be important\u2026,\u201d said Chief Dingani \u2013 Painted Dog Conservancy.<\/p>\n
Health workers also expressed gratitude to the gesture saying as frontline workers, the equipment is needed on a day to day basis.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2026 As front line workers this is important. We are very grateful\u2026,\u201d said Dr. Muronzi \u2013 Health Centres Representative.
\nMatabeleland North Minister of State Honourable Richard Moyo said such efforts reflect the unity of purpose in times of adversity.<\/p>\n
