It will be oversubscribed. Thousands of delegates have already confirmed their attendance at the congress \u2026 much more than the quorum.<\/p>\n<p>For now, we are mostly interested in the delegates who will be coming to the congress and not in everyone else \u2026 we will meet everyone else after the congress.<\/p>\n<p>Although we have had limitations because of the health situation, in terms of preparations we are at an advanced stage and we are going to elect a new MDC president soon<\/p>\n<p>Chamisa is yet to respond to the High court ruling and he has reportedly said he will respond after the lockdown, Meanwhile rumours are saying Chamisa and his associates are weighing 3 options in response to the ruling that made Khupe the interim MDC leader.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Speaking to the Daily News On Sunday Douglas Mwonzora has said the congress they are organising following the High Court ruling that declared Nelson Chamisa an illegitimate MDC leader and ordered the party to go to Congress within 3 months, \u2018s subscriptions have surpassed the required quorum and thousands of delegates have confirmed their attendance.
