The government has announced it will upscale second-hand clothes ban enforcement to ensure that smuggling of second-hand clothes is contained as they risk spreading the deadly coronavirus, The Herald reports.<\/p>\n
This was revealed by Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Monica Mutsvangwa who said this in her the post-cabinet briefing:<\/p>\n
The apparent increase in the smuggling of second-hand clothes into the country through border posts such as Mt Selinda and Sango poses unprecedented danger of contracting COVID-19 by those who wear them. Government will henceforth upscale the enforcement of the law banning the importation of second-hand clothes.<\/p>\n
