Zanu PF councillors have been urged to prioritise national interests in line with the vision of the party and President Emmerson Mnangagwa.<\/p>\n
Zanu PF Mashonaland Central province is on a drive to mobilise local authorities to work towards developmental issues.<\/p>\n
Addressing councillors at Rushinga Business Centre on Saturday, the Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Water and Climate, Retired Air Chief Marshall Perrance Shiri reminded councillors that they are at the forefront of the developmental agenda.<\/p>\n
\u201cRushinga is the home of Zanu PF. If the opposition were to come here they would not get a single goat supporting them. Our strength comes from good administration, and working together. Let\u2019s not allow the world to get in our midst,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Zanu PF Mashonaland Central Chairperson, Kazembe Kazembe urged councillors to put party interests first.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou are the strikers working for Zanu PF. When you work to put the President and party interests first not yourselves, why because you were deployed by Zanu PF,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Minister of State for Mashonaland Central Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Monica Mavhunga updated councillors on development priorities, while Politburo member, Kenneth Musanhi commended the programme rallying councillors to deliver.
\n\u201cThis area had no water but you have to table the need for boreholes in your reports and not just talk on how there is no action. You set the ball rolling by moving motions during your meetings. I want to thank the Chairman for holding these meetings and for uniting the party,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
The meeting, which was also attended by the local legislator, Cde Tendai Nyabani comes at a time the border area is struggling with access to water, increasing human-wildlife conflict and poor mobile network connectivity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
