Some MDC Alliance legislators who have hitherto been aligned to the party\u2019s leader Nelson Chamisa are contemplating jumping ship and joining the MDC-T led by Thokozani Khupe because \u201cthey have no choice\u201d.<\/p>\n
A legislator who asked not to be named told the\u00a0Daily News<\/em>\u00a0over the weekend that he had been waiting for the court to make a ruling before making a firm decision on his allegiance. Said the legislator:<\/p>\n We wanted the courts to make a definitive ruling, and now we know who to follow. It is clear that we now have to follow the \u2018official party\u2019 that is led by Khupe for now. There is no choice.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n I\u2019m not alone on this and I know that there are many other MPs who are going to jump ship this week because we all have so much to lose.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, reinstated MDC-T secretary-general Douglas Mwonzora has ordered MDC Alliance MPs to attend Parliament or face the consequences.
