{"id":24308,"date":"2020-06-14T20:37:15","date_gmt":"2020-06-14T18:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/zimbabwe\/?p=24308"},"modified":"2020-06-14T20:37:15","modified_gmt":"2020-06-14T18:37:15","slug":"dirty-council-water-kills-3-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.cc\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/dirty-council-water-kills-3-people","title":{"rendered":"Dirty Council Water \u2018Kills\u2019 3 People"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three children in Bulawayo\u2019s Luveve suburb have reportedly died from diarrhoea after drinking unsafe water pumped by Bulawayo City Council (BCC).<\/p>\n<p>The children who reportedly died are Freedom Tshuma (13), Bongiwe Ndlovu (9) and an unidentified Form Four pupil after they complained of a stomach illness that resulted in severe diarrhoea.<\/p>\n<p>Freedom\u2019s aunt, Patricia Tshuma, told Sunday News that the teenager had been admitted to Mpilo Central Hospital and he passed away on Thursday afternoon. She said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We are in great pain and shock that we can get sick from tap water as we had all along thought it is a trusted source. The water seems to have particles that look like tissues. Most of us are sick because of the dirty water and already there are three funerals because of this.
