Some churches in Bulawayo have reportedly welcomed the government\u2019s decision to prohibit church gatherings once again in the wake of the resurgence in COVID-19 cases over the last few days. the Chronicle reports.<\/p>\n

The publication spoke to an apostolic church leader Johane Masowe Apostle Sector\u2019s Madzibaba Emmanuel Mutumwa\u00a0who said;<\/p>\n

As the apostolic church sector, we believe that we have a role to play in supporting the Government. We\u2019re in no position to defy the rules set by the Government thus we welcome their move to re-ban church gatherings.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We\u2019ve since notified congregants that we won\u2019t be congregating physically and our focus now is to have them pray at their homes so as to mitigate the spread of Covid-19.\u00a0<\/span>As such, we\u2019re returning to using the WhatsApp platform for our services.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Association of the Apostolic Churches in Zimbabwe (AACZ) President Bishop Vushe shared Mutumwa\u2019s sentiments and said:<\/p>\n
