POLICE have appealed for information on the location of opposition MDC Alliance deputy national chairman Job Sikhala, Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) president Peter Mutasa and a host of other activists.<\/p>\n

In a statement Monday evening, ZRP national spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the activists are being sought by the CID\u2019s law and order department for interviews.<\/p>\n

In addition to Sikhala and Mutasa, the police are also keen to interview Obey Sithole, Godfrey Tsenengamu, Promise Mkwananzi, Ostallos Siziba as well as Obert Masaraure among others.<\/p>\n

The development follows the arrest of other activists Jacob Nagrivhume and Hopewell Chin\u2019ono who have since been charged with inciting public violence.<\/p>\n

The opposition has been calling for demonstrations at the end of the month supposedly against corruption, but authorities say the illegal protests are aimed at removing the country\u2019s constitutionally elected government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
