A zoom meeting has been scheduled for the 10th of this month to unpack Zimbabwe\u2019s agreement with former white farmers who lost their land during the fast track land reform programme.<\/p>\n
The government recently agreed to a US$3.4 compensation deal, to compensate the farmers for improvements done on the farms.<\/p>\n
The panel consists of Finance Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube, Harry Orphanides the compensation steering committee member and Georges Van Montfort UNDP Zimbabwe resident representative.<\/p>\n
Under the agreement, half of the sum must be paid within 12 months, with the balance payable over 48 months.<\/p>\n
The deal has caused divisions among Zimbabweans with some saying there was no need for compensation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
