MDC-T interim president Thokozani Khupe has set her sights on recalling MDC Alliance co-vice president, Lynnette Karenyi-Kore and five other MPs from the beleaguered rival opposition.<\/p>\n
The six MPs are being targeted for failing to recognise the leadership of Khupe.<\/p>\n
Other MPs facing the axe are Mutare Central MP Innocent Gonese, Epworth MP Earthrage Kureva Marondera Central MP Caston Matewu, Harare senator Theresa Makone and Binga North MP Prince Dubeko Sibanda.<\/p>\n
According to sources, the recall letters, signed by MDC-T secretary-general, Douglas Mwonzora, have already been sent to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Jacob Mudenda.<\/p>\n
The sources said Goromonzi South MP Reuben Chikudo was also targeted for recall although the letter was yet to be forward to Mudenda.<\/p>\n
is in possession of leaked conversations of MDC-T members of the National Executive Committee.<\/p>\n

Mugadza also implored the party to recall Goromonzi South, MP Reuben Chikudo whom he accused of illegally acquiring council land in Ruwa.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have the information yekuti Chikudo, MP for Goromonzi South, Mrs. Ngwenya and Mr. Satswayo were all given stands at Zimre Park. Please leadership, help us before it is too late. Chairman (Morgen Komichi) matiregera kuno kuRuwa,\u201d Mugadza pleaded with the party\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n
In response to Mugadza\u2019s concerns, the MDC-T\u2019s Birmingham interim branch chairman, Paul Kazingizi confirmed the pending recall of the six MDC Alliance legislators.<\/p>\n
\u201cChikudo haapo palist. Pana Kore, Gonese, Kureva, Matewu, Makone and Prince ndovaripo parizvino kusvika tapedza congress,\u201d (Chikudo is not on the list at the moment. There is Kore, Gonese, Kureva, Matewu, Makone and Prince. The list will be reviewed after congress,\u201d responded Kazingizi.<\/p>\n
Former Harare councillor, Warship Dumba then chipped in asking, \u201cAre those being recalled?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, letters were sent. What is left is confirmation only,\u201d responded Kazingizi.<\/p>\n
Several MDC Alliance MPs and councillors have been recalled by the Supreme Court reconstituted Khupe led MDC-T and by-elections are set for December 5.<\/p>\n
Repeated efforts to get a comment from MDC-T acting spokesperson Khalipani Phugeni were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n
