Chinamasa said:<\/p>\n<p>2023 is a dead rubber election. It\u2019s over before voting.<\/p>\n<p>Chinamasa also said a lot of developments occurred before and during the November 2017 military coup period but the ruling party was not yet ready to disclose them at the moment. He said:<\/p>\n<p>Behind the scenes, a lot took place, but it is too early to say. The further from November 2017, the more likely we are going to tell you.<\/p>\n<p>During the same press conference, ZANU PF secretary for war veterans Douglas Mahiya said the party did not tell Mugabe to resign in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Mahiya said they told Mugabe not to mislead the nation or do the wrong thing when his time was up.<\/p>\n<p>He added that Mnangagwa was the most senior person to take over from Mugabe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Zimbabwe.
