{"id":31232,"date":"2020-12-14T20:31:38","date_gmt":"2020-12-14T18:31:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/zimbabwe\/?p=31232"},"modified":"2020-12-14T20:31:38","modified_gmt":"2020-12-14T18:31:38","slug":"zimsec-employee-jailed-for-stealing-selling-o-level-exam-papers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.cc\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/zimsec-employee-jailed-for-stealing-selling-o-level-exam-papers","title":{"rendered":"ZIMSEC Employee Jailed For Stealing &amp; Selling O\u2019 Level Exam Papers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\">Africa-Press<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/zimbabwe\">Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Arnold Maimba, a Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) employee who stole 2020 Ordinary Level examination papers and sold them to prospective Form Four candidates, has been slapped with a one-year jail term.<\/p>\n<p>He will, however, serve an effective six months after Harare magistrate Victoria Mashamba suspended six months of the sentence on condition of good behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>Maimba (22) was employed as a contract worker at the ZIMSEC Printing Press in Norton when he committed the crime.<\/p>\n<p>He was charged with having access to or revealing the contents of examination material as defined in section 35(a) and (b) of the ZIMSEC Act.<\/p>\n<p>Maimba stole the \u2018O\u2019 Level November 2020 Mathematics Paper One and Paper Two on 27 November and on 3 December, he stole \u2018O\u2019 Level November English Language Paper One and Paper Two examination papers and sold the papers to prospective candidates.<\/p>\n<p>He was arrested by detectives on 9 December and several \u2018O\u2019 Level Mathematics and English Language examination papers were found at his home after a search.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Zimbabwe.
