{"id":31614,"date":"2020-12-25T19:25:35","date_gmt":"2020-12-25T17:25:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/zimbabwe\/?p=31614"},"modified":"2020-12-25T18:56:00","modified_gmt":"2020-12-25T16:56:00","slug":"chasi-ray-vines-boxing-match-to-be-live-streamed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.cc\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/chasi-ray-vines-boxing-match-to-be-live-streamed","title":{"rendered":"Chasi, Ray Vines Boxing Match To Be Live Streamed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\">Africa-Press<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/zimbabwe\">Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Former Energy and Power Development Minister Fortune Chasi is set to take on comedian Ray Vines in a boxing match at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).<\/p>\n<p>The match, dubbed \u201cMukukuzvi versus Chibabest\u201d, will be held on Boxing Day and will be streamed live on social media platforms.<\/p>\n<p>The boxing match is an initiative to raise money for charity while promoting physical fitness, health and well-being through boxing and entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Zimbabwe National Boxing and Wrestling Control Board of Zimbabwe executive officer Lawrence Zimbudzana expressed gratitude over Chasi and Ray Vines\u2019s initiative. He said:<\/p>\n<p>Let me express my gratitude to Hon Chasi and Ray Vines for coming up with this noble idea for fighting for charity.<\/p>\n<p>I know for certain Hon Chasi is a man of many talents and could have chosen any other sport code, but he chose boxing which is quite humbling to us. They used boxing for a noble cause.<\/p>\n<p>On his part Chasi, who is Mazowe South MP, said he was ready for the match promised to help the sport across the country. Said Chasi:<\/p>\n<p>We appreciate much the help that we have received from the corporate world and the boxing council.<\/p>\n<p>We realised after Budiriro that there is an urgent need to help people and the community.<\/p>\n<p>Christmas is a time of giving, give us whatever you can to help the needy during this festive season.<\/p>\n<p>To have at least one boxing ring in each province, ideally in each constituency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Zimbabwe.
