Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Thokozani Khupe who lost the MDC T elections to Douglas Mwonzora yesterday made sensational claims that the newly elected MDC T leader Douglas Mwonzora embezzled funds from the party and she is going to report him to the police. New Zimbabwe reports.<\/p>\n

Khupe called a press conference after she was escorted from the center of the elections yesterday after she declared the elections null and void yesterday and said Mwonzora cant account for $6 million dollars that left the party coffers:<\/p>\n

First, he (Mwonzora) took 300 000 (dollars) from the party coffers without anybody knowing and we said ahh, ok. And then 6 million (dollars) as we speak right now is missing; he can\u2019t account for the money.<\/p>\n

If you see this whole conference, it is happening on credits. I had to go out of my way together with the national chairman (Morgen Komichi), we had to ask for credits and yet he is holding 6 million (dollars).<\/p>\n

That is the 6 million he used to rig this election and I cannot allow this to go ahead, Definitely, we are going to be doing that because he has to account for the money.<\/p>\n

The allegations that Mwonzora took $300 000 from the party coffers surfaced a few weeks ago and Mwonzora denied them and said they were meant to tarnish his name and Khupe however absolved him from the allegations.<\/p>\n
