He said:<\/p>\n<p>The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has learnt with great shock and profound sadness of the passing on of Club Licensing First Instance Body (FIB) Chairperson Piraishe Mabhena.<\/p>\n<p>He was 42 years old.<\/p>\n<p>In this difficult moment of untold grief for the local football family, his friends, and family, we pray that everyone finds comfort in the knowledge that he has left a huge mark on the face of local football.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Mabhena\u2019s time in football administration saw him serve the game as an Eastern Region Chairperson, National Executive Committee Member, and FIB Chairperson, a position he held till his last day today.<\/p>\n<p>Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult moment.<\/p>\n<p>We draw some solace from the fact that he served the beautiful game with distinction and his legacy shall live on.<\/p>\n<p>ZIFA also extended its condolences to the families of the late former Highlanders and Warriors midfielder Richard Choruma and Worthwhile Mugabe, a football sponsor and businessman. Gwesela added:<\/p>\n<p>ZIFA would also like to extend sincere condolences to the families of former Highlanders and Warriors midfielder Richard Choruma and businessman and friend of football Worthwhile Mugabe who passed away on New Year\u2019s eve.<\/p>\n<p>Death continues to rob football of some of its dedicated personalities.<\/p>\n<p>May their dear souls rest in eternal peace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Zimbabwe.
