{"id":3367,"date":"2019-02-08T14:50:24","date_gmt":"2019-02-08T14:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/zimbabwe\/?p=3367"},"modified":"2019-02-08T14:50:24","modified_gmt":"2019-02-08T14:50:24","slug":"soldier-in-court-for-robbing-forex-dealers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.cc\/zimbabwe\/all-news\/soldier-in-court-for-robbing-forex-dealers","title":{"rendered":"Soldier in court for robbing forex dealers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A\u00a0 serving Zimbabwe National Army officer yesterday appeared before a Harare magistrate facing two counts of robbery after he teamed up with two accomplices to rob foreign currency dealers in Chitungwiza.<\/p>\n<p>Norest Nyasoro, who is based at Manyame Airbase, was charged together with Tichaona Sosera (27) and Mafeking Tagara (24) when the trio appeared before magistrate Rumbidzai Mugwagwa.<\/p>\n<p>Mugwagwa remanded the trio in custody and advised them to apply for bail at the High Court.<\/p>\n<p>It is the State\u2019s case that on January 19, the accused approached a 20-year-old forex dealer purporting to be interested in changing their bond notes into United States dollars.<\/p>\n<p>They allegedly lured the complainant into their vehicle and they immediately told the complainant that he was under arrest for illegally dealing in forex.<\/p>\n<p>The trio allegedly searched the complainant and took $640 and R400.<\/p>\n<p>After committing the offence, the accused pushed the complainant out of their vehicle and drove away.<\/p>\n<p>This month, the complainant spotted the trio\u2019s vehicle and immediately alerted the police.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A\u00a0 serving Zimbabwe National Army officer yesterday appeared before a Harare magistrate facing two counts of robbery after he teamed up with two accomplices to rob foreign currency dealers in Chitungwiza.
