Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The MDC-T has urged the government to ensure that the COVID-19 roll-out programme is done in a transparent manner and to safeguard it from being hijacked by powerful cartels.<\/p>\n

In a statement after yesterday\u2019s Standing Committee meeting held virtually, MDC-T spokesperson Witness Dube said:<\/p>\n

The Party would like to encourage the Ministry of Health and Child Care to prioritise the health sector and other key sectors of our nation to receive the vaccine in a transparent manner.<\/p>\n

\u2026 Further, as corruption has become endemic in our society, adequate mechanics must be put in place to ensure that unscrupulous cartels do not highjack the process for their selfish means.<\/p>\n

The MDC-T also called for a national dialogue that is genuine, inclusive and unconditional and for social, political and economic reforms as well as electoral reforms, among them, the Diaspora Vote. The statement read further:<\/p>\n
