Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa yesterday during his State of the Nation Address said 2021 will be the year of resisting all forms of oppression. Chamisa who explained how last year\u2019s events were crafted to destroy his party said they were coming with a new strategy to rise above the calculated moves he said were meant to turn Zimbabwe into a one-party state on paper.<\/p>\n

Chamisa said the party will resist all forms of oppression peacefully throughout the year:<\/p>\n

The year 2021 will be marked with peaceful resistance and resilience. The language of the oppressed to resist the oppression.<\/p>\n

We will peacefully resist and oppose evictions, demolitions and any violations of people\u2019s freedom and citizens\u2019 rights.<\/p>\n

We will peacefully resist and oppose sustaining businesses and companies that oppress us the people.<\/p>\n

We will peacefully resist and oppose institutions that oppress us the people<\/p>\n

We will peacefully resist and oppose all unconstitutional acts.<\/p>\n

We will peacefully resist and oppose weaponization of law and the justice system.<\/p>\n

We will peacefully resist and oppose the illegitimate, the Oppressors that rigged the election.<\/p>\n

Over the last few years, the government has arrested, locked up and prosecuted anyone who encourages, urges or tells people and in some instance participates in a protest against the government which last year in July and August last year caused a public outcry dupped #ZimbabweanLivesMatter. This leaves the MDC Alliance with very few options when it comes to protesting against the government\u2019s maladministration.<\/p>\n
