Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of Health and Child Care has stated that 139 people are hospitalised due to COVID-19. This was contained in an update that stated that 20 returnees from South Africa tested positive for COVID-19 and only 76 frontline workers were vaccinated yesterday.<\/p>\n

Updating the nation on the issue of COVID-19 hospitalisations the ministry of health stated that:<\/p>\n

As of 12 March @1500hrs, there were 139 hospitalised cases. Assymptomatic 81, mild to moderate 42, severe 14 and 2 in intensive care units.<\/p>\n

For the past 7 days, hospitalisation due to COVID-19 has remained south of 120 hospitalizations per day as reported by the ministry of health. Recoveries have also gone down as the country for the last 8 days recorded less than 240 recoveries. Vaccinations have also slowed down over the last few days with the country vaccination less than 1000 people in 5 days.<\/p>\n
