Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Locally-based Warriors players on Saturday started trooping into camp in Harare to prepare for two crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Botswana and Zambia later this month.<\/p>\n

Wellington Mupandare, the Warriors\u2019 manager, said the players will have a 10-day mandatory isolation camp while those on standby have been encouraged to self-isolate at home. Said Mpandare:<\/p>\n

Camp for the crucial Afcon qualifiers has started, with locally-based players and the technical team having reported in since Saturday.<\/p>\n

They will have a 10-day mandatory isolation camp, where they\u2019ll be training while waiting for the foreign contingent which will start arriving on Saturday.<\/p>\n

For players called up to be on standby, we\u2019ve asked them to self-isolate at home because you never know; some of the players that are scheduled to come might be forced out due to unseen events.<\/p>\n

There are seven locally-based players called up for camp; goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda, defenders Shadreck Nyahwa and Carlos Mavhurume, the midfield trio of Brian Banda, King Nadolo and Tatenda Tavengwa as well as striker Farau Matare.<\/p>\n

Zimbabwe first takes on Botswana away on 25 March followed by Zambia at home on 29 March.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
