Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Nash Paints Founder Tinashe Mutarisi is reportedly embroiled in a legal battle with one of his landlords Mining Industry Pension Fund (MIPF) over non-payment of rentals amounting to $27 000, ZimMorning Post exclusively revealed.<\/p>\n

Nash Furnitures, one of Mutarisi\u2019s companies is reportedly owing MIPF $27 000 and the later has taken the former to the court for non-payment of rentals for the space that is being used by Mutarisi at Takura house in Harare.<\/p>\n

Court papers seen by the publication reads in part:<\/p>\n

\u2026Payment of the sum of US$27 000 being arrear rentals owed by 1st defendant for the use of premises being Shop 2,Takura House 67 Nkwame Nkurunh Avenue, leased to it by the Plaintiff in terms of a lease agreement signed by the parties on November 24 2019<\/p>\n

Payment of interest on the US$27 000 calculated from March 2020 at a rate equivalent to the minimum lending rate charged by the Plaintiff\u2019s bankers compounded monthly from due date of rent.<\/p>\n

MIPF reportedly reviewed the rentals upwards and demanded that Nash Furniture pay a backdated amount of the reviewed rentals which might have been the source of their squabbles which are now before the courts. Mutarisi was named one of the 40 most influential business personalities by ICDZ.<\/p>\n
