Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Zimbabwe\u2019s ruling party, ZANU PF, has announced that it has embarked on a mobilisation campaign that will see young university women benefiting from mining and agricultural projects.<\/p>\n

The campaign comes ahead of the country\u2019s 2023 harmonised elections triggering the view that the projects are meant to lure university women to vote for the ruling party.<\/p>\n

We have a target to achieve by 2023. As women in Zanu PF, we have embarked on massive mobilisation programmes which will accommodate every woman, especially youths in universities, business and cross-border traders.<\/p>\n

We are targeting women in mining; we want them to own mines and succeed in agriculture. We are appealing to the Lands ministry to consider allocating a small portion (of land) so that it can be subdivided to urban women to use for farming purposes.<\/p>\n

We want women in tourism to be afforded an opportunity to exhibit their products whenever there are tourism fairs in other countries.<\/p>\n

With the state of the economy, it is likely that the offers will be accepted by many.<\/p>\n
