Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The four ZANU PF activists who were arrested for their alleged involvement in intra-party violence that broke out on 8 May at Chinhoyi Public Service Training Centre were Thursday granted $10 000 bail each.<\/p>\n

Chinhoyi magistrate Tapiwa Banda granted $10 000 bail each, coupled with reporting conditions to the quartet who were self-actors in their bail application.<\/p>\n

The four activists are Simbarashe Guvheya (40), Zivanai Busai (37), Ruth Chikukwa (40) and Mirriam Mudoti (42) popularly known as \u201cBoko Haram\u201d.<\/p>\n

Police had to fire tear smoke to quell the riotous situation that unfolded at the ill-fated meeting of 45 Zanu PF DCC chairpersons from the Chinhoyi constituency.<\/p>\n

The meeting was convened by Kindness Paradza, the Makonde District Coordinating Committee (DCC) Chairperson and Makonde MP.<\/p>\n

Paradza is accused of bringing his \u201cmilitia\u201d armed with machetes, stones, beer bottles and a spear.<\/p>\n

The group arrived aboard his black party-issued double-cab truck before unleashing violence.<\/p>\n

Paradza\u2019s youths were reportedly subdued by the predominantly Chinhoyi-based activists who were demanding youth secretary Ketty Chanetsa\u2019s removal.<\/p>\n

Chanetsa, whom Paradza seeks to protect, was recently barred from attending the organ\u2019s inaugural meeting held at the same venue for being a \u201cG40 sell-out.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also faces charges of fomenting divisions, holding unsanctioned meetings, gossiping, maligning and blackmailing senior party leaders.<\/p>\n

Chanetsa is also accused of faking her abduction by party colleagues during the emotive DCC elections last December, thereby putting the party\u2019s name into disrepute.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
