The organisers of the ZNA Charity Shield have changed the format of the tournament from a four-team competition to a two-team event.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s edition will only feature teams from Bulawayo, and it will be between Highlanders and Chicken Inn.<\/p>\n
Army charities secretary Lieutenant-Colonel Fabion Chitungo told The Chronicle that they are in the process of engaging the teams and would officially launch the tournament \u201csoon\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve agreed to have a one-off challenge match that will feature Highlanders and Chicken Inn as opposed to having a four-team tournament,\u201d said Chitungo.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter consultations, we found it economically viable to have the challenge match between two teams in Bulawayo, and now we are in the process of engaging Highlanders and Chicken Inn before having an official launch soon.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is at the official launch where we will announce the gate charges and prizes for the participating teams.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the past, four teams would clash in the semi-finals before the winners meet in a final. Dynamos won last year\u2019s event after beating Highlanders in the final.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
