Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>MDC-T leader Douglas Mwonzora has predicted the outcome of the 2023 elections saying he will win by 66%.<\/p>\n

Party spokesperson Witness Dube told reporters in Kwekwe over the weekend that Mwonzora is going to cause a major upset in the 2023 elections. Dube said:<\/p>\n

_We are two years away from the elections and we have a strategy towards the 66%._<\/b><\/p>\n

_We know all the election patterns in Zimbabwe; we are an opposition party which has been in existence since 1999 and had our first election in 2000._<\/b><\/p>\n

_We have had five elections going into our 6th leg._<\/b><\/p>\n

Dube added that Senator Mwonzora is an \u201celectable candidate\u201d adding \u201cwhen we make projections of 66 %, we know what we are talking about.\u201d He said:<\/p>\n

_We have a strategy to turn around the fortunes of the party from what we were in 2018._<\/b><\/p>\n

_I may not be at liberty to dissect and go all exactly on how that strategy is going to play out. We are still a distance from the elections, it\u2019s unwise to do so._<\/b><\/p>\n

_We have done our own pilot runs to see if it\u2019s going to get us and gather us the votes that we want._<\/b><\/p>\n

_We think our pilot tests reveal that once we implement it in full swing with the necessary resources to go with it; it\u2019s a strategy that is going to get us around that figure._<\/b><\/p>\n

Dube also said Mwonzora always predicts his victories and is never more than 5% shy from the target that he would have predicted.<\/p>\n

When he was previously asked how he intended to win the 2023 election and rebuild the nation, Mwonzora said his party\u2019s strategy was dialogue and tolerance which he said works and will score enormous results.<\/p>\n

There are some who believe that Mwonzora is being used by the ruling ZANU PF to divide the opposition but he vehemently denies the allegations saying those are the remarks by his rivals.<\/p>\n
