Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic has brushed off criticism over his poor record of only one win in ten games, saying he got the job done when it mattered the most.<\/p>\n

Since his appointment in February 2020, the Croat has only managed just one victory in the Warriors dugout, the 1-0 win over Botswana last March, which sealed qualification to the upcoming AFCON 2021 finals in Cameroon.<\/p>\n

In ten games, that decisive victory over the Zebras remains Logarusic\u2019s only win but the defiant coach has played down the issue. Speaking in an interview on Talking Football, the Croat said:<\/p>\n

I have heard people saying things like coach Logarusic has a poor record, he has won only one game, but the trick is; when I need to draw, I drew (against Algeria) and when I needed to win, I won (against Botswana).<\/p>\n

Also, when I needed to use experimental players for COSAFA, I did.<\/p>\n

The Warriors take on Namibia in a crucial Group B encounter in the ongoing COSAFA Cup at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth this Sunday.<\/p>\n

Zimbabwe drew 0-0 against Mozambique in the opening match on Wednesday before fighting from a 2-0 deficit to rescue a point with Malawi on Friday.<\/p>\n
