Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Mathew Boka, the son of the late Zimbabwean business tycoon Roger Boka, has said he is the owner of the Rolls-Royce that was said to have been imported by President Emmerson Mnangagwa\u2019s son Sean.<\/p>\n

Sean Mnangagwa was photographed in the fancy car prompting observers to say it belonged to the president\u2019s son.<\/p>\n

The NewsHawks was told Mathew, the executive chairperson of Boka Tobacco Floors, imported the car for personal use from the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Sources, however, say he later entered into an arrangement with gold dealer Pedzai Sakupwanya, commonly known as Scott Sakupwanya who was eager to buy the car, showing his commitment by paying US$140 000.<\/p>\n

The sources say Sean, a captain in the Zimbabwe National Army, also expressed his interest in buying the car, went on to view it and then took pictures which went viral.<\/p>\n

The sources say the pictures had compromised Sean\u2019s interest in the car after a public outcry. However, quizzed about the car on Friday, Mathew said:<\/p>\n

I can categorically state that it\u2019s my car. It\u2019s my vehicle, I imported it, but it\u2019s in a bonded warehouse\u2026<\/p>\n

It\u2019s my car. It\u2019s not on sale. Sean came the other day to the auction floors on other business which had nothing to do with the car, but he saw the car and liked it. He asked if he could view it and take pictures, just like any person who would have seen something nice.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not his and I don\u2019t want to talk too much about this issue because I am a private person. I don\u2019t talk much to the media and this is not even a big issue.<\/p>\n

There has been a public outcry over the importation of fancy cars by political elites who are allegedly abusing state resources and are likely not paying duty.<\/p>\n
