Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is expected to fire Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic at the weekend.<\/p>\n

The ZIFA board will meet to review the team\u2019s performance in the aftermath of two tepid displays in the World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Ethiopia.<\/p>\n

Zimbabwe drew 0-0 at home to South Africa in their Group G opening match of the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifying campaign on Friday before losing 1-0 against Ethiopia away in their second match on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

reported sources yesterday saying the association\u2019s board led by Felton Kamambo was under immense pressure to act. Said a ZIFA board member:<\/p>\n

We will meet either on Friday or Saturday to review the two matches. We will have to look at the legal implications before we make a decision, but there is a 90% chance that we will let him go.<\/p>\n

Loga has his shortcomings admittedly, but the team\u2019s failure cannot be wholly blamed on him.<\/p>\n

We all know why the team failed at CHAN and the COSAFA.<\/p>\n

ZIFA reportedly has no clear favourite in mind to replace Logaru\u0161ic should he be sacked. Added the official:<\/p>\n

The truth of the matter is that this coach has been very unfortunate. And then we have some people who have an agenda.<\/p>\n
