Africa-Press<\/a> – Zimbabwe<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Opposition MDC Alliance leader, Nelson Chamisa has made new appointments to key positions in the party with Sesel Zvidzai being appointed Co-Vice-Chairperson.<\/p>\n

Zvidzai, a former Deputy Minister of Local Government and Urban Development, confirmed the appointment in a Facebook post on Friday. Read the post:<\/p>\n

Chamisa also appointed pro-democracy human rights lawyer and legislator for Hwange Central Fortune Daniel Molokele as the new Deputy Treasurer-General. Molekele confirmed the appointment:<\/p>\n

I am so humbled to confirm that President Advocate Nelson Chamisa has appointed me as the new Deputy Treasurer General of the MDC Alliance with immediate effect. Thank you.<\/p>\n

There have been mixed reactions to the appointments with some suggesting that the appointment of Zvidzai is a blow for Job \u2018Wiwa\u2019 Sikhala who is the elected Vice-Chairperson.<\/p>\n

Some said Chamisa was violating the party\u2019s constitution as the holders of that office must the elected by the people.<\/p>\n
