Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Mohammed Salah\u2019s Christmas picture has attracted the wrath of some members of the Muslim family who say his action is contrary to their belief.<\/p>\n

Some said they do not hate Christianity \u201cbut it is prohibited to celebrate your so-called festival, we can celebrate with you any other thing like naming ceremony, wedding and the likes.\u201d Some quoted the Quran:<\/p>\n

30. And the Jews say: \u201d Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah\u201d, and the Christians say: \u201cMessiah is the son of Allah\u201d. That is their saying with their mouths, resembling the saying of those who disbelieved aforetime. Allah\u2019s Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!<\/p>\n

Some however said it is sad that they choose to attack Salah when intermarriages between Christians and Muslims are happening worldwide.<\/p>\n

Some said the religious war was unnecessary. Read one of the comments:<\/p>\n

This is a religious war. We don\u2019t want no religion. The world can be at peace if everyone concentrates in been humane with their fellow humans. Humanity just needs to be rational and lease sentimental, treat everyone as one and no classes. What we need most is LOVE.<\/p>\n

Mohammed Salah who plays for Liverpool is a known Muslim.<\/p>\n

Christmas is the annual Christian festival celebrating Christ\u2019s birth, held on 25 December. Jesus is considered the World\u2019s Messiah in Christian circles while Muslims believe Muhammed was the only Messiah.<\/p>\n

Clashes between the two religions are not new and have at some point been violent resulting in the death of thousands of people.<\/p>\n
