Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>The Warriors finally commenced their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals preparations on Sunday after undergoing tests for coronavirus. All the players and officials tested negative.<\/p>\n

They conducted their first training session at the National Sports Stadium with 23 players.<\/p>\n

The Warriors camp officially started on 23 December. National teams\u2019 general manager Wellington Mpandare said:<\/p>\n

We are all good to go and training proper starts today.<\/p>\n

We went through all the necessary health and safety protocols and everyone came out clean.<\/p>\n

Now we are getting into the business side of why we are here.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Houston Dynamo defender Teenage Hadebe is expected to join camp this Monday after missing from the first training session.<\/p>\n

Mpandare said Hadebe \u201chas some delicate family issues\u201d and is currently in Bulawayo.<\/p>\n

Some of Zimbabwe\u2019s foreign-based players will fly directly to Cameroon, among them captain Knowledge Musona, Tino Kadewere, Jordan Zemura, Admiral Muskwe and David Moyo.<\/p>\n
