Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>All the twenty-two (22) Warriors players in the AFCON squad tested negative for coronavirus on Saturday.<\/p>\n

With no injuries, it means that all the 22 players will be available for the Group B encounter against Senegal on Monday at 3 PM CAT. The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) tweeted on Sunday morning:<\/p>\n

Cleared. There were no positive cases recorded from COVID-19 PCR tests conducted on #TeamZimbabwe yesterday.<\/p>\n

All 22 #Warriors are available for our match against Senegal tomorrow at 2 PM [GMT+1]<\/p>\n

Jordan Zemura is out of this one.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, according to The Guardian, Napoli and Senegal centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly tested positive for COVID-19, the Serie A club said on Saturday. Napoli said in a statement:<\/p>\n

Kalidou Koulibaly has tested positive for Covid-19 while on international duty with Senegal.<\/p>\n

The defender, who is vaccinated and asymptomatic, is now in self-isolation as per protocol.<\/p>\n

Besides Koulibaly, midfielders Pape Matar Sarr and Nampalys Mendy and the striker Mame Thiam also tested positive.<\/p>\n

The Senegal Football Federation general secretary, Victor Seh Ciss\u00e9, later said that a further six staff members had also tested positive.<\/p>\n
