Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Zimdancehall musician, Nutty O, real name Carrington Simbarashe Chiwadzwa, is leading the 2022 PPC Zimbabwe Music Awards with seven nominations.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition of the awards ceremony is set for 19 February in Harare. It is being held under the theme \u201cRhythm, Roots and Cultural Diversity\u201d.<\/p>\n

Nutty O released a 14-track album titled \u201cMustard Seed\u201d with features from Ghana\u2019s Stonebwoy, Jamaica\u2019s Demarco and Kae Chap towards the end of 2021.<\/p>\n

He was nominated in seven categories, namely the Best Album, Zim Dancehall, Best Music Video (Ndiwe), Best International Zimbabwean Artist, Best Male Artist, Song of the Year (Handipere Power) and Best Collaboration (Ngifuna Wena).<\/p>\n

Freeman and Roki came second behind Nutty O, with 5 nominations each.<\/p>\n

In 2021, Nutty topped the ZIMA nominations list with 5 nominations.<\/p>\n
