Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Major hotels and lodges in Bulawayo are now fully booked ahead of the 2022 Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), reports The Sunday News.<\/p>\n

The 62nd edition of the ZITF will run from 26 to 30 April under the theme, \u201cRethink, Reimagine, Reinvent Value Chains for Economic Development.\u201d<\/p>\n

Banff Lodge Hotel manager Lisa Dickson told The Sunday News last week that their bookings mainly comprised Government officials and foreign diplomats. She said:<\/p>\n

Yes, we are now fully booked for the ZITF period. Most of the bookings were done within the first day of the ZITF dates being announced.<\/p>\n

Unlike some hotels and lodges that double their prices for the ZITF period, as Banff we maintain our rates for the period and they will be the normal rates we charge any other month.<\/p>\n

N1 Hotel Bulawayo front office reservationist, Eliash Tendayi, said they were also already fully booked, but conceded that they increased rates for the ZITF period. Said Tendayi:<\/p>\n

We have been fully booked since February. Our bookings are mainly by local companies booking for their people.<\/p>\n

For the ZITF period, our rates are going for US$100 while the normal rates in any other month are usually US$60.<\/p>\n

Tinaye Birukai, who is the Wozani Lodge front office manager, also said that they were also fully booked. He said:<\/p>\n

We are still receiving calls from those who want to make bookings for the ZITF period due to our close proximity to the ZITF exhibition grounds, but we are now fully booked.<\/p>\n

Our bookings are mainly from locals and the rates are different from the normal booking rates.<\/p>\n
