Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>CCC leader Nelson Chamisa says his party will not reverse the country\u2019s Land Reform Programme if elected to form the next government in the 2023 elections.<\/p>\n

Chamisa made the remarks in his 42nd Independence Day message. He said every Zimbabwean citizen should respect and honour those who contributed to the country\u2019s liberation struggle.<\/p>\n

He also called Zimbabweans to set aside their political differences and work together for the development of the nation. Said Chamisa:<\/p>\n

It is not easy for us to have a liberated country where people worked hard and sacrificed their lives for us to enjoy this day. We have reclaimed our soil back and as such, the soil remains ours.<\/p>\n

The land that was given to the people through the land reform programme will remain ours. The programme is, therefore, irreversible.<\/p>\n

No one shall separate us from our land and we will remain united on the agreement we made as Zimbabweans to take back what is ours.<\/p>\n

Let us preserve the land and work hard to produce as a nation.<\/p>\n

Echoing ZANU PF\u2019s campaign mantra \u201cNyika inovakwa nevene vayo (Zimbabwe shall be built by its people),\u201d Chamisa urged beneficiaries of the land reform programme to use farms productively.<\/p>\n
