Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>The permanent secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Ndavaningi Mangwana has accused CCC of politicising the death of Moreblessing Ali, an opposition member.<\/p>\n

Ali was murdered and mutilated by suspected ZANU PF activists in Chitungwiza in May and her body was retrieved from a well in Manyame on Saturday, 11 June.<\/p>\n

CCC accuses ZANU PF members including one Pius Jamba of kidnapping Ali on 24 May, the last day she was seen alive.<\/p>\n

However, in a statement a few days after Ali\u2019s disappearance, police said the matter had nothing to do with politics but was a domestic violence case.<\/p>\n

In a post on Twitter, on Saturday evening, Mangwana criticised the opposition for allegedly politicising Ali\u2019s brutal murder. He wrote:<\/p>\n

It\u2019s tragic to lose any Zimbabwean, whether to domestic violence to ritual killing or to an accident. We all matter otherwise nobody matters.<\/p>\n

But what crass is trying to extract political capital out of a tragic domestic violence case possibly by a twisted individual?<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, human rights activist, Namatai Kwekweza, said the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) should not tell members of the public how to respond to the murder of Ali.<\/p>\n

That was after ZRP issued a statement on Saturday night warning \u201csome politicians, including some lawyers\u201d against \u201copenly inciting violence\u201d in relation to Ali\u2019s murder. Kwekweza tweeted:<\/p>\n

The ZRP should just be announcing the discovery of Moreblessing\u2019s body and not telling citizens how to behave and respond to the matter.<\/p>\n

This matter is very much political and Moreblessing was targeted for her political affiliation. We must call it out for what it is!<\/p>\n

Ali\u2019s body was retrieved from a well at Chitungwiza\u2019s alleged ZANU PF terror leader Simbarashe Chisango\u2019s homestead in Manyame.<\/p>\n

The body was cut into two and the intestines were put in a plastic bag.<\/p>\n
