Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. <\/strong><\/span>Three CCC members who were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the violence that rocked Nyatsime last week have been denied bail.<\/p>\n

Precious Jeche (41), Misheck Guzha (62) and Odius Makoma (42) appeared before Harare Magistrate Dennis Mangosi on Thursday facing charges of public violence.<\/p>\n

The magistrate ruled that the trio is likely to skip bail, hence it is risky to free them on bail pending trial.<\/p>\n

The CCC members are accused of destroying houses and shops and also setting on fire a the house of the ZANU PF Chairperson for the Nyatsime area.<\/p>\n

They are also accused of looting groceries and electrical gadgets at Chibhanguza Shopping Centre.<\/p>\n

The value of the destroyed property is estimated at ZWL$5.8 million.<\/p>\n

The violence erupted following the brutal murder of CCC activist Moreblessing by an alleged ZANU supporter, Pius Mukandi, alias Jamba on 24 May 2022.<\/p>\n
